Student Support and Guidance

Student Support and Guidance works in a preventative and supportive way to help students through their university studies, and thereby supports the education area of the university.

In co-operation with the departments, we strive for all students to be successful in their studies. We offer individual support and/or group activities for students, and inform and offer consultative support for department personnel, in the following areas:

Study and career guidance and study information. The study counsellors offer individual study and career guidance for students and applicants.
  • Support for disabled students. We co-ordinate the pedagogic student support for the university.
  • Student-related cases of discrimination or harassment. We inform, give advice and investigate reports from students according to the Discrimination Act.
  • Swedish Scholastic Assessment Test (SweSAT). We administer the test in the county of Västerbotten and in Vasa, Finland.

Students who need study information or wish to drop in for study guidance are welcome to visit us in Infocenter Universum.
