Student Health Service

The Student Health Service is available for all students at Umeå University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Umeå.

About the Student Health Service

At the Student Health Service students can get support in matters relating to their physical, mental or psychosocial health situation. This may involve lifestyle issues such as stress, sleep, alcohol habits or concerning their study situation.

We observe confidentiality and all our services are free. There is no doctor working at the Student Health Service.

Ways for students to contact the Student Health Service

Students who want to get in contact with the Student Health Service may call us during our phone hours or visit us during our drop in hours in Infocenter Universum. Find more information about our services and ways to contact us at:

We offer e.g.:

  • Telephone advice
  • Drop in, to nurse or social counsellor
  • Counselling with social counsellor or nurse
  • Advice on alcohol 
  • Testing for chlamydia and HIV
  • Aurora, the students light and quiet room, for rest and recovery
